Out of the air we breathed a virus came and the world, as we knew it, changed…

… Fear, isolation, silence became the norm for some;

… Long, sun filled days of quiet and previously impossible peace for others;

But slowly the planes reappeared in the skies, the wild animals that had come down into the cities withdrew to the hills. Doors opened. Distances between us shrank and we looked out again on a world that was the same. And yet, not at all the same. And we wondered

who we were NOW… who we had EVER been.

And Lanny looked out into New York as the streets filled again.

And Anne looked out across the sea near London where ferries and yachts were reappearing on the horizon.

And they reached out to each other;

And the question so many were asking became the inspiration for…
